Opening Party!  Radical sex photography: Barbara Nitke's B&W infrared loving SM photographs, and the color digital photographs of bondage ecstasy and sculpture by photographer Michael Blue and bondage rigger Midori and mysterious/fetish photographs by emerging lesbian photographer Shilo McCabe.

Nitke, Blue, Midori and McCabe will attend and Nitke will be signing copies of her new hard cover book, Kiss of Fire ($40).  Entertainment including a bondage performance by Fetish Diva Midori.  Suggested donation $5-$10+.  No one turned away for lack of funds.

Sun Sept. 19th - 2pm-4pm - the SF Citadel, 245 8th St./SF

"A Romantic View of SM"  Barbara will do a slide show talk for The Society of Janus, San Francisco's oldest pansexual education and social SM group.  Nitke will use slides to illustrate her talk on her life in photography, her sexual and SM photographs and the NCSF (National Coalition for Sexual Freedom) Nitke vs. Ashcroft lawsuit challenging the CDA (Communications Decency Act). This event is open to anyone 18+ years with a sincere interest in BDSM.  Doors open at 1pm.  $15 for the general public.  $5 for Janus members and members of reciprocal organizations.  The Nitke/Blue&Midori/McCabe exhibition can be viewed by attendees of this event from 4-5pm at the Mark I. Chester studio at 1229 Folsom St., which is right around the corner from the SF Citadel.

House party benefit for the NCSF (National Coalition for Sexual Freedom) Nitke vs. Ashcroft lawsuit challenging the CDA. (Also see Sponsored by Mark I. Sex, Art & Politics - A community benefit to celebrate radical sex photography co-sponsored by Mark I. Chester and Dr. Carol Queen's non-profit Center for Sex and Culture.  100% of the profits will benefit Nitke: the Nitke vs. Ashcroft lawsuit, her travel to SF and the exhibition of her work.

Slide show presentations with commentary by keynote speaker Nitke, with the bay area's most exciting radical sex photographers including Mark I. Chester, Michael Blue & Midori, Charles Gatewood, Fakir Musafar, Phyllis Christopher and emerging photographers including Shilo McCabe.  Open to the adult public.  Suggested donation $10-$20+.  No one turned away for lack of funds.  Donations made directly to the non-profit Center for Sex and Culture are tax deductible.

Photographers' books with an included 8x10 print will be auctioned off to raise additional funds.

Mark I. Chester will do a FREE digital portrait (digital file) for anyone who stops by his studio Folsom weekend to see the exhibit of radical sex photography by Barbara Nitke, Michael Blue & Midori and Shilo McCabe.  Additional pix $10 each.  Pix will be emailed after being adjusted.  On Sun. Sept. 26th, Mark I. Chester will be doing digital pix and the exhibition will be open during the Folsom St. Fair, which runs right outside Chester's studio.
