I am posting this photograph of Wes from 2006 in honor of his birthday. I love this particular shot of Wes because I think it captures a certain special something about him. Wes has the most intoxicating eyes. They're passionate. Smoldering. And mischievous. They challenge. What do you have to offer that will interest me? They can be (slightly) shy saying, Who me? <wink> Or maybe they're saying, What are you still doing over there?

In some ways Wes has been an artistic muse for me. It's a bit hard for me to explain what that really means. It's not anything specific that he has done. Well, actually he has done a lot of very specific things. He's modeled for my drawing groups. And I've taken bunches of pix of him in various incarnations and er..... uh.... groupings. :) But that's not what I mean. He's young, enthusiastic but not indiscriminate. <eg> He's willing, but it has to stroke his boat or what's the point? And he is gosh darn sweet. And a hell of a lot of fun. The fact that he is lean with glasses, facial hair and a close cut crop doesn't hurt at all. ;)

Happy Birthday, Wes. I hope it was a good one.
